Owner/FSR Holder
Doug is the owner and founder of Hemingway Electrical Contracting, bringing over 20 years of hands-on experience and deep industry knowledge to every project. Respected for his leadership, technical expertise, and unwavering commitment to excellence, Doug has built a strong reputation across both the electrical and construction industries on the Sunshine Coast. His ability to problem-solve complex challenges, combined with a meticulous eye for detail—particularly in high-end custom homes—consistently sets his work apart.
Doug is not only a skilled tradesman but also a dedicated leader who fosters strong relationships with his team, clients, and the wider community. His roots on the Sunshine Coast run deep, and he’s proud to contribute to the region through quality work and meaningful connections. Known for putting people first, Doug leads with integrity, professionalism, and a passion for delivering outstanding results.
Outside of work, Doug lives in Davis Bay with his wife Sarah, their daughter, and two dogs. He enjoys boating, mountain biking, skiing, and spending time with his family—always staying connected to the outdoors and the community he calls home.

Travis plays a key role in helping Doug manage projects, combining technical expertise with leadership and reliability. Energetic and personable, he’s a natural team player who keeps morale high on every job site. Outside of work, Travis is a devoted husband and father of two, proud to be a true family man.

Declan is a recent journeyman graduate who has quickly impressed the Hemingway Electrical team with his rapidly growing skill set and increasing level of responsibility. Known for his efficiency on the job and his natural ability to connect with customers, Declan brings a positive attitude and strong work ethic to every project. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling and hitting the golf course, always eager to explore new places and challenge himself.

Luke is the longest-standing member of the Hemingway Electrical team, having been with the company since day one. Over the years, he’s become a cornerstone of the crew, known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and drive to continually expand his skills. Luke brings a meticulous eye for detail to every project—his wiring work is consistently clean, precise, and professional.
Reliable and hardworking, Luke takes pride in seeing every job through to completion. His commitment to quality and continuous improvement makes him a trusted and valued part of the team.

Apprentice Electrician
Ethan brings fresh energy and a positive mindset to the Hemingway Electrical team. Always eager to learn, he consistently looks for opportunities to expand his skills and grow in the trade. With a family background in construction, Ethan feels right at home on the job site—comfortable in work boots and quick to adapt to new challenges.
His strong work ethic, curiosity, and natural familiarity with the trades make him a valuable up-and-comer in the electrical field. Outside of work, Ethan enjoys staying active—spending his free time playing hockey in the winter and hitting the golf course during the warmer months!

Co owner/Office Manager
Sarah is the backbone behind the scenes at Hemingway Electrical Contracting, expertly managing billing, administration, and scheduling to keep everything running smoothly. She also oversees the company’s social media, sharing updates and highlights that connect the team with the community. Wearing many hats, Sarah’s keen attention to detail and exceptional customer service skills make her an invaluable asset to the team. As co-owner and Doug’s wife, she plays a vital role in supporting both the business and their family every step of the way.
